Children can thrive when they’re a part of our learning centers, arts program, and charter schools.
1. Afterschool Learning Centers
Afterschool programs help reinforce what students learn in school as well give them extra time and support to grasp and master concepts that may have been hard to understand during the school day.2. Family and Youth Arts Program
NEW partners with Free Arts so that your family can participate in an Arts Therapy Program to help deal with any issues of concern.3. Charter Schools
Our schools create and foster learning environments centered around the needs of students. Children learn to work well with each other and their teachers, become able to direct their own days, think critically, mature in self-esteem and self-assurance while growing in appreciation of their own culture and that of other students.Financial Resources

NEW’s case managers provide individualized support to program participants via needs/goals assessments, skill-building guidance, and financial coaching strategies.2. Create

- NEW Money
- Family Conference
By completing the entire program, NEW residents create a pathway to close the wealth gap by changing their financial behavior and relationship with money.
3. Homeownership Program
NEW’s Homeownership Program helps clients by providing the knowledge and support to purchase a home with confidence, protect assets, and change fiscal habits that build generational wealth.4. Pre-purchase and Foreclosure Counseling
We offer these counseling services in addition to our Homeownership Program to help you focus on your specific financial needs as you either prepare to purchase a home or fight to remain in the one you have. You do not have to participate in the Homeownership Program to receive either of these services.5. Free Tax Preparation Assistance
Through NEW’s partnership with Free Tax Prep L.A., we can help you prepare and file your annual income taxes for free.Advocacy and Policy

This program promotes a healthy lifestyle for NEW students and their families, via popular exercise activities, guidance on health-conscious shopping/meal preparation, and live cooking demonstrations.2. Arroyo Vista
We partner with Arroyo Vista to host an affordable Family Health Clinic with excellent patient care on the site of NEW’s Prosperity Center – the heartbeat of our Pico Union master-planned community.3. Child Passenger Safety Program

NEW refers community members to employment support agencies/organizations to help with job searches. Services may include assistance with resumes and interview skills.2. Family Source Centers
