Located along the west side of San Fernando Road, between Granada Street and Division Street, in Los Angeles, Rio Vista Apartments is NEW’s 87-unit affordable rental housing development built in conjunction with our development partner McCormack Baron Salazar and our partner the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The development features a mix of one- to three-bedroom units in a beautiful environment for affordable housing for the working families of Glassell Park, Los Angeles. Located centrally by the 110 freeway and a high-speed bus corridor to support the needs of working families.

This development is a part of Taylor Yard Transit Village, a mixed-income urban infill community designed to promote walkable streets and sustainable design. This master-planned community was part of a large redevelopment project to remove blight and provide affordable housing resources upon a former rail yard. The 19-acre site now includes 197 affordable large family units, 108 affordable senior units, approximately 25,000 sq. ft. of retail, and over 11⁄2 acres of green space with walking trails, public art, and native landscaping that complements the site’s proximity to the Los Angeles River.
